Accounting software for limited companies (AS)

Kantax covers what a small limited company needs: bookkeeping, payroll with A-melding, VAT and reports — at a flat price from NOK 100/mo.

Everything a small AS needs

  • Payroll with A-melding, withholding tax, employer’s contribution, OTP and holiday pay
  • Invoicing and receipt bookkeeping
  • VAT return submitted to Altinn
  • Profit & loss, balance sheet and trial balance
  • Year-end close that transfers result to equity
  • Multi-currency with daily Norges Bank rates

What must a limited company report?

A limited company has full accounting and bookkeeping obligations: monthly A-melding when you run payroll, VAT returns (usually bi-monthly), annual accounts to Brønnøysund and a tax return. Kantax submits A-melding and VAT returns to Altinn, and assembles the basis for the annual accounts with export to your accountant.

Do I need an auditor?

Most small limited companies are exempt from the audit requirement below NOK 7M turnover, 10 FTEs and NOK 27M balance sheet. So you can do the books yourself in Kantax — or invite an accountant if you prefer.
